Dedication

This book is dedicated to the loving memories of Jamilah Maat Nation, Jahi Omari and Dr. Asa G. Hillard, all of which, oddly enough, either worked and/or attended Georgia State University, my alma mater. And all of which whose life, living and manner of death had a major impact in my life. I also want to acknowledge the contributions of Dr. Ivan Van Sertima and Dr. Richard King, both of whom have made their transition not too long ago. Dr. Sertima for his work on the African presence in Mexico, where I currently live part-time and Dr. King for his work and research on melanin. May they all rest in peace and in the knowing that they are loved.
